Volcano Eruptions in P3/4!

P3/4 had a go at making their own volcanoes and we then used baking soda and vinegar to turn them into erupting volcanoes!

Earthquake Experiment

P3/4 carried out a STEM activity linked to our topic, Natural Disasters. We used spaghetti and marshmallows to create some buildings that had to withstand our earthquake simulator which was made with whiteboards, balls and rubber bands. Most building passed the test but we had one or two collapses!

Weight and Capacity

P3/4 have been learning about weight and capacity and carried out a range of activities through the week They ended the week using the taught skills to measure out ingredients to make pancakes and enjoyed eating them on Friday afternoon!

P3/4 Tubing in Glencoe

Despite the weather, P3/4 had a great day out in Glencoe tubing and hiking in the hills. The rain didn’t dampen our spirits and we loved getting out and about to explore the area and then getting cosy in the cafe to have our lunch and play some games.

P3/4 Visit MOWI

We had a super visit to MOWI as part of our Farm to Fork topic. We found out lots about salmon farming, got to hold a salmon, see the feed room and even taste some salmon!
