Building Foundations for the Future

Exploring the local area and learning to be safe on excursions!

When out and about, it’s important to know how to stay safe and behave sensibly. At Nurture, we have been exploring places on our doorstep like Spooky Lane, the Loch Linnhe Shore and the lovely parks. En route, we talk about road safety, and always make sure we are listening to adult instructions so that we can have fun and stay safe.

Here we are during the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch week exploring Spooky Lane. We had a checklist to see what birds we could spot during our outing. We made bird feeders and hung them up for the birds to enjoy! 🐦🦅🦉

At Christmas time, we went up the Cow Hill peat track to decorate a spruce tree.🎄🤶

A small group of us went down to the shore to skim stones, admire the boats and pretend we were pirates with seaweed beards!🌊🦀🦭

We like playing the throw the stick game in the stream to see who’s comes out the other side of the bridge the fastest!🪶
