Earthquake Experiment

P3/4 carried out a STEM activity linked to our topic, Natural Disasters. We used spaghetti and marshmallows to create some buildings that had to withstand our earthquake simulator which was made with whiteboards, balls and rubber bands. Most building passed the test but we had one or two collapses!  

P3/4 Tubing in Glencoe

Despite the weather, P3/4 had a great day out in Glencoe tubing and hiking in the hills. The rain didn’t dampen our spirits and we loved getting out and about to explore the area and then getting cosy in the cafe to have our lunch and play some games.

Farm to Fork

P3/4 have been busy in our local area visiting a Highland farm and some allotments to find out what fruit, veg and animals we can grow/farm in Scotland. We have been using this to help us write a 3 course menu using only Scottish produce.

P3/4 Water Safety

Yesterday, P3/4 took part in a water safety session to make sure they know how to keep themselves safe during the Summer months when they may be swimming outdoors. They learnt some very simple, yet effective ways to help themselves if they every find themselves in trouble in the water!

Last few weeks of Term 4!

P2/3 had a great day at the Nevis Centre last week and also a jam packed fun day today!

P7 sang, recited poetry, served teas and coffees and gave the visitors a tour around Lundavra Primary.  Milan very kindly took one of the ladies into the gym hall and gave her a quick lesson on how to score a basket in basketball… and she did!

P4/5 Shinty National Qualifier

Primary 4/5 – Shinty  National Qualifier   Well done to all of our shinty players who represented the school at the National Qualifiers on Saturday. There were teams from all across Lochaber. They played some brilliant shinty and worked very well as a team.
