P3/4 Visit MOWI

We had a super visit to MOWI as part of our Farm to Fork topic. We found out lots about salmon farming, got to hold a salmon, see the feed room and even taste some salmon!

Farm to Fork

P3/4 have been busy in our local area visiting a Highland farm and some allotments to find out what fruit, veg and animals we can grow/farm in Scotland. We have been using this to help us write a 3 course menu using only Scottish produce.

P3/4 Water Safety

Yesterday, P3/4 took part in a water safety session to make sure they know how to keep themselves safe during the Summer months when they may be swimming outdoors. They learnt some very simple, yet effective ways to help themselves if they every find themselves in trouble in the water!

Climate Change with P3/4

P3/4 went to New Connections to work on some art squares for climate change. We had a great time and the kids made some super images, as you can see!

Primary 6 collage

As part of our topic this term, World War 2, Primary 6 researched which countries were involved and on what side (if any). They then created collage flags of these countries and made a fantastic job of them. Well done!

Primary 1 celebrated an early Burns night by trying some haggis, neeps and tatties! We also listened to Auld Lang Syne and made our own tartan kilts!

Today, Michelle from Lochaber Countryside Rangers spend a morning with Primary 6 teaching us all about curling.  We did some in class learning and experiments, followed by activities in the hall.  We all had a brilliant time, so thank you #LochaberCountrysideRangers
